Nicodemus Wilderness Project -- Global Registry of Apprentice Ecologists

My name is Arden and I am from Nashville, TN. I am 12 years old and am choosing to do this project as part of my sixth grade community service project. I picked up trash in parks, green ways, and waterways in the Nashville area. I cleaned up these areas for a total of twelve hours over a period of about six weeks. I think it is important to take care of these features of Nashville because they are where native Nashville wildlife live, and humans use them as public facilities and it is bad for them to be dirty. My project has benefited the community by not only making it cleaner and greener, but also inspiring the people who saw me to do their part as well. My project hopefully made me a cleaner person and made me see the importance of wildlife and how it benefits us as humans. Overall it was difficult work, but it was a rewarding experience.
