Life on earth has changed since the Industrial Revolution started. Now in days nature has been used as a resource for the human population. The human population is known to be very dangerous to the planet the importance here is that in several years from now earth would not be a home to many species. The ozone layer is depleting and the polar ice caps are melting in a few decades the Arctic would not be made out of ice anymore. The green house gases that humans make contribute to extra heat on Earth and eventually it turns into global warming. It is known that most of the world tropical rainforest are being destroyed and are not able to grow back as rainforest. Once the rainforests are not able to grow back they become really dry with a low biodiversity and therefore it would turn into a desert. The solution to this problem is to stop the cutting of rainforests and help the planet by trying to grow back its rainforests.
The reason why I chose to do this project is because the human race is making massive amount of pollution and the future of Earth is at a risk. The human population makes so many products that are not needed. As well as the people do not pay enough for products as much as they are suppose to. The project that I would like to do would take places all around the world where the human population could help build a new ecosystem. I have started myself in my backyard. I have planted different trees. I have at least six trees on my yard including a pine tree. I also have planted plants and flowers of different species. I believe that I have accomplished a lot by building an ecosystem on my backyard. It feels good to know that I can help. Maybe in the future I could own a community garden where everyone could start spreading nature around.
My garden is important because if I do not take care of it then who will? I believe that I should not give up and reach to my goal. I will start little by little. It will take time and hard effort but its better then loosing future life on planet Earth. What I learned about this project is too built as much as one can to help out. The reason why is because not only does it benefit earth but it helps different species. Extinction is a big part of life and it could be hurtful. As people pass by my garden they see how motivated and passionate I am for saving the planet. Neighbors always say that it is motivating and a garden always looks nice. In the other hand planting crops is possible so many people should do it. It saves a trip to the market and that means no car usage or in other words no carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which leads to the depletion of the ozone layer. I am sure that in the future I will have my own community garden. Hopefully it would not be too late to save the beauty of earth.
