Arizona State University Palo Verde East and West Hall Residents spend four weeks educating students about the importance of recycling and the environment, collecting recycled goods from each floor (14 total floors). Fun and interesting facts about waste in the environment were pasted throughout the hall. Many residents participated in recycling, even if they did not decide to volunteer to take the goods to the outside bins. Volunteers went door to door to educate residents about the environment and recycling, while also collecting paper, plastic, aluminum and other recycled products. Many residents continued to recycle, although the project had been completed. Similar projects have taken place since the original recycleASUmania.
