I recently spent 12 days in Israel from Michigan on a fully funded by a program called Birthright. As a way to give back to the country of Israel, we worked at an ecological site. Jobs we did include planting trees, making fences, and building structures that take in rain water and use it to its fullest potential. This was a very rewarding experience because I single handedly got to give back to the people that live on the property and made there day that much easier.
P.S. I am the one on the far left. From left to right it goes: Me (Dayna Campbell), Alyssa B, Leah H, Ori - A volunteer who worked at the Haifa Ecological Center and taught us the skills needed, Jessica L, Lindsay M, and Alyssa M.
