In the small town of Sinton, Texas a large amount of trash has gathered over the years. Of course, certain groups of people help pick up trash in areas, but never is there a large trash clean-up event for all of the litter to be completely taken care of. Although my action was small, I contributed some time and effort from my own schedule to pick up as much wastes as I could.
My hometown consists of many large ditches, and in those ditches, lies garbage people discard from their cars or simply just throw out in there because a trash can is not present at the time. A friend and I created our own little project and went to all of the large ditches in the neighborhoods and picked up all the excess garbage that the waterways consisted of. The outcome was quite drastic, in that the appearance of the streets improved by just a small task. Within the few ditches we cleaned, our trash bags soon began to pile up fairly quickly, which meant that this job was needed to be done a long time ago.
The scenery of our environment would be much more appealing if all of the littering would come to a halt. Our wildlife would also be able to flourish better because then the worrisome of animals getting caught in the trash would not be at hand. Many diminutive chores can be taken up by citizens that would help enhance our environment and decrease the pollution that our society acquires.
