My project was cleaning Juniper Beach on the northeast part of Camano Island. If the beach is filled with clutter and garbage, no one will really want to go to Juniper Beach. The project not only benefits the local residents which live on and by the beach but also the animals that live in the Puget Sound and in the Pacific Northwest. When litter is left on the beach it can potentially pollute the water and can lead to the hazard of animals choking and even dying. This may seem like an simple task that won’t have much effect but every bit helps in keeping the Pacific Northwest a beautiful and safe environment. Keeping the beach clean creates a clean habitat for animals. I have a love for nature and helping create a safe ecosystem for animals and like to keep the world as clean and healthy as possible for all to enjoy.
