Pollutions
Trash kills and injures wildlife everywhere, at any given second at least one animal is affected or killed by pollutions or trash. This makes me wonder why more youth don’t get out and make a difference to try and save our wildlife. How I conducted my trash cleanup project was by picking the garbage up around my school and in a park where I like to visit. I choose to clean the places that mean the most to see clean.
I started off by checking the weather to see what the temperature would be like for the day I wanted to go out. Once I got to the Blissfield park I knew it would make a difference, even being that I was the only person in the park cleaning. After one hour of intense trash clean up I was able to fill ¾ of a big garbage bag. It made me fill great about myself and the park sure did not mind it. The reason why I chose this location was that I like going to the park, either to take a walk or play fetch with my dog, and staring at garbage in these places really upsets me. We only have one world and we share it with a lot of wildlife, that is being harmed, and if more people start to realize that our world would benefit.
I’m a student at the Adrian Adult Education Center, my school has many loiterers, they like to stand around garbage and make more if they can. This gave me the idea to clean up around my school. So me and a friend, Lucas who is also a student and Apprentice Ecologist, asked our office help for a couple of bags, we could put garbage in. We took a few minutes and picked up the majority of the trash. Even if it takes only five minutes it makes a difference, I know that the outside of my school looks better.
