I am a student at Garden Grove High School in California and my club and I decided to have a tree planting project on behalf of the Environmental Club. I am an officer in this prestigious club, as Historian, and this project was certainly an unforgettable experience. My club and I decided to plant trees what better then on our very own High School campus. During last summer we explored all areas of our campus and looked for potential places where trees were needed. Our high school has over hundreds of students and upcoming freshmen, and we thought that it would be great to plant trees for the better future. After getting approval from our principal and our club advisor we were happy to announce to our club members that we were going to plant these wonderful donated trees on our very own campus. We planted trees along side of our soccer fields, as well as on our quad, and between open areas of classrooms. We planted about 12 tall trees and little trees as well that went great on our quad platform. We had about 15 volunteers of our club, and it was interesting to say that even an extra volunteer that happened to be walking passed our campus decided to take part in our tree planting project. After we were done, and we finished watering all of our wonderful trees everyone felt proud of their excellent work in making our campus beautiful. I am also proud to say that we trees will be enjoyed for years to come and I will also be able to say, “You see that big tree, I planted it.”
