Throughout my years in middle school and high school global warming has already made a major impact on the atmosphere of the Earth. These changes in weather patterns and breaking down of the natural, beautiful places led my friend, my sister, and I to want to try and help solve this massive problem. The photo I submitted is of our website and business called Cones For The Climate where we resell used t-shirts or organic cotton t-shirts made from renewable materials. The design you see on the t-shirts was created by me, and it is a symbolic piece representing global warming and the need for recycling. If you look at the whole art at once it might just look like an ice cream cone but if you look closely the top is the earth melting, representing the ice cream, and the bottom is the recycling symbol, representing the cone. The cone is the only thing that stops the ice cream from melting away just like how recycling is the thing that helps and stops global warming. My team and I use this symbol to spread knowledge about global warming well selling sustainable t-shirts and giving the profits we make from the business to local charities helping the polluted rivers right in our hometown. Us selling these t-shirts is only a small step for helping this crisis but I hope that it spreads awareness and help contribute to fighting global warming.
