For my project, I chose to plant native trees along a barren area of Dry Creek. We planted approximately 80 trees over a 4 hour period of time. We had quite a large number of volunteers since the local high school bussed their 2 Environmental Science Classes over to help out. It was a fun-filled afternoon as all the students helped improve the environment by planting native trees to help decrease the temperature of the creek and also to increase the habitat of the native species.
