My name is Ava and I am 11 years old and I live in New Jersey. I recruited my classmates to help me clean up a local state park in New Jersey. We hiked through the Cheesequake State Park and picked up plastic bottles, trash and other items that were harmful to nature. We disposed of these items in the trash cans provided by the state park. We hiked over 2 miles! It was a fun day. We looked at many species of plants and animals during our walk. It was also on a beautiful lake. It is very important to keep our state parks from being littered.
