This photo illustrates one of the many things I did while serving my time in Georgia. All the while I was there with my youth group, we trimmed trees, mowed numerous lawns, weeded, landscaping, etc. This project required a lot and I mean a lot of self-discipline. Everyday there would be new knots in my shoulder, and the heat was unbearable. However, when we performed jobs for other people, it was very rewarding to see the looks on their faces with their new yard. I had not mowed a lawn until this time and I actually enjoyed it! One of the days I was there, I helped re-build and paint a whole new ramp for this woman who was confined to a wheelchair. So having made things be so much more convenient for her was a great feeling.
