Furquan & I teamed up to create Obamacycle, a worldwide recycling movement during the 2008 election season. I came up with the idea and ran the website, and Furquan served as my financial sponsor.

During the primary election season, our volunteers sent used campaign merchandise from states that voted to states that had not voted; from states showing a lot of support for Barack to states with low visibility; and from people with extra campaign merchandise to those who could not afford to buy any or who lived out of the country.

One woman, Sandy, recycled over $10,000 in merchandise!

Through Obamacycle, we were able to show increased support for our candidate, save money, utilize technology, and best of all, help the environment!

Because of its success, Obamacycle was featured in magazines, newspapers, and on televisions throughout America. For example, we were featured on CNN, ABC News, Fox News, and in Wired Magazine, the Austin American Statesman, and many others!
