Nicodemus Wilderness Project -- Global Registry of Apprentice Ecologists

I am involved in the adventure club and we had to go to the beach on a Tuesday after school to clean it up. We went to Mission Beach and before we go there it was a real mess. There was chips back and soda cans everywhere. But, it was very interesting anyways because while we were there my best friend and I saw a cute little tree on the side. It looked like if it little kids would get on it and swing on it's branches for the fun of it. Hahaha. Well, aside of that we had a great time cleaning up the beach and on the side of the beach there was a part as well and we started cleaning that when we were heading back to the van. So, in the end we have accomplished a whole lot. By the time we were done the beach was neat and the tides looked sparkling blue. It was a beautiful sight. The reason why it's really important to take care of the beach is because if the beach was very nasty and dirty then the fishes could die. Maybe from the food waste or the plastic from the soda can can get in the water and a fish might get tangled in it. It is also important for us because there are a lot of little kids playing in the sand and there can be broken glass in the sand. Those kids could get hurt and could cause an infection. Something that could be done is that we could put a whole lot more trash cans because one of the reasons why people don't pick up their trash is because they are to lazy to get up and throw it away when it's so far away. And I think there could also be a sign saying that there will be a fine for anyone who is caught littering. By participating in the adventure club I have the benefit to learning a whole lot new sports like surfing, snowboarding, ect. And the environment has a benefit having been cleaned. Because it is required of us to do some community service this way. Everyone should be involve in cleaning the community and the environment because this could cause less diseases. And greater chances of helping to stop global warming. Thank you.
