My name is Moez, and I removed harmful blockages and trash from the stream in the wilderness. In this project my brother Aziz and his friends helped me out. This was a very good opportunity to do this since now its summer vacation and this is a unique opportunity to serve the community. When I got to the stream at first, I saw that there were a lot of tree branches and tree logs blocking the water from passing by. This project wasn’t a one time thing or anything; we had to do this over a period of days.

On the first day we took a shovel and some tools and scraped out access dirt and dead leaves. This took us about one whole day to accomplish. The next day I, my brother and his friends woke up extra early to plan for what to do in the day. We created a chart, maps and a list of tools we needed. This took us about 6 hours. At 6:00 AM on the third day we all went out into the forest and started to work on the project. While someone was scrapping, others were removing hazardous materials (like trash) from the bottom of the stream. On that day we all worked so hard that that it took till 8:30 PM to finish up everything completely.

This was a mind blowing and amazing experience of a lifetime, and something to be proud of. There were so many things to do and since we had five people on the team, things were so much more fun and adventurous. This was such a fun way to help the community and make the stream in the forest flow better and help animals, plants and other living beings. I wish I could do something like this again in the near future.
