My Project was called, Osa Sea Turtle service trip. This Project was conducted by a foundation called EcoTeach. During this trip I learned how to measure, track, and keep data on endangered sea turtles. They also provided us with information on how they protect the eggs of the turtles from poachers and wild animals. The purpose of this trip is to help conduct research to save the endangered species.
While on this trip, I also learn the importance of refraining from resorts in popular tourist countries, such as Costa Rica. The resorts cut down forests that are important to the wildlife of the country. The people of the country also suffer by losing jobs and being forced to move. Resorts often cause poverty among the locals.
