New ways to process trash!
Today there are more and more human needs. And because of that, there are more of the remaining ingredients or what we call trash. Because there is a lot of garbage, that leads to more conflict without trash control. If there is an inability of people to control their garbage, it’ll be a buildup of trash.
But, in a suburb in east Jakarta, precisely at the edge of the river there is a group of residents (Ciliwung) that can said to be very creative to reprocess the garbage into something new that can be used. One of them is compost fertilizer. They cultivate vegetables unused remainder through a long process but produce something very useful and this has been evidenced also by various parties using compost fertilizer. Plants will be even more fertile; more fertilizer use will not cause the heat on the plant but will make the plants better and more beautiful. The manufacturing process also does require some time at least two weeks duration and requires repetition of the process many times.
Not only that, such as paper and other trash and plastic (drink sachets, soap sachets, etc) can be processed into a useful objects, such as a storage box (paper), and handbags, wallets, etc., which is unique has currently become a trend in Indonesia. Even waste egg shell or onion skin can be processed into a very unique home decoration. In Indonesia today, we also have a variety of community garbage processing as well, which helps the economy of a society. Therefore, I hope that we do not ever underestimate the trash. Although it looks dirty and disgusting but behind it all the garbage could be something very beautiful and useful if treated properly.
