Nicodemus Wilderness Project

We voted to complete the native tree project in summer school.
It was hot. Our tree project was at Chamberlayne ES in Richmond, Virginia. We saw a cricket that was smaller than a dime. Our seedling was green and small. We planted a Coulter Pine. It will be 40 feet tall.
Today, it isn’t bigger than my hand. I feel happy that it’s going to
grow tall. The pine tree produces oxygen for our community. My favorite part of the Apprentice Ecologist Initiative was that we took pictures.
