Dear !*FIRST NAME*!,

Please join us on Saturday, April 28th (9 AM to 1 PM); we will be working at Piedra Lisa Open Space in the Sandia Mountain foothills with the City of Albuquerque Open Space Division on the following environmental stewardship projects**:

1. Trail building, rehabilitation, & soil erosion control.
2. Native tree/shrub/cactus planting & side trail closures.
3. Trash cleanup & exotic vegetation removal.

FREE refreshments (trail foods and drinks) provided! Trail tools, equipment, and water will also be provided.

Directions: Drive to east end of Candelaria Rd., take a right onto Camino de la Sierra, and it's the first left at the top of the hill. Please note that this is NOT the Forest Service's Piedra Lisa Trail.

What to Bring: Please bring gloves, a reusable water bottle, sturdy outdoor shoes, sun protection, and clothing appropriate for changing weather.

Please RSVP: Write to mail@wildernessproject.org by April 17th to let us know how many volunteers to expect in your group.

**This opportunity is also part of NWP's Apprentice Ecologist Initiative. After completing the project, youth participants have the opportunity to register and upload a photo and accompanying essay about the project to our Global Registry of Apprentice Ecologists. Three educational scholarships will be awarded annually to the authors of the top Apprentice Ecologist essays.

Thanks and hope to see you on the trail,

Robert K. Dudley, Ph.D., Director
Nicodemus Wilderness Project
