I am an international student here from Japan and when I first arrived I was really surprised with how much trash I saw all over. In Japan all the streets are clean and people take the environment very seriously. So I decided to go to a park in downtown Tucson with some of my Japanese and American friends and clean up a park. I feel this project was very successful because we were able make one part of the city a little more like Japan. As a citizen of the world I really feel like we all need to do our part to make the environment more sustainable for the future.
