Ivy is killing the trees in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. This is a protected National Scenic Are. I organized 3 volunteers and we began to take the ivy off of the Douglas Fir trees. The ivy is now dying back and the trees are not breaking and falling from the weight and strangling of the trees. There is much more to be done to eradicate this invasive species and I plan to be involved in saving the forests.
