Everyone here is a member of SCA, Student Conservation Association. This group consists of about 35 high school students and around 6-8 coordinators who help and make sure everyone is save and active. We stay overnight at places and help the place we stay by, removing invasive species, planting native plants, trash clean-ups, trail building, and other environmentally friendly things. In this project, we removed invasive plants such as the Himalayan blackberry and Cape Ivy growing in this area so we could allow other plants to grow. It was tedious work. We worked hard and persevered, and the place looks great now.
