The river was smelly and disgusting, but we wanted to make it look nice and save the environment. I saw so many cigarette there were so many different kind. At first we found normal things like paper and beer cans. Then we started to find weird things like bottles of unrecalled liquids. We also found a radio, sock, caution signs, and more. We were in groups of 4 or 3 people. My team found this little island that had a pile of garbage that was over flowing. It was so contaminated that we found a dead rabbit and a fish carcass. We had so much fun cleaning. At the end of the clean up, we had gotten used to the smell and we were really tired. When we where getting ready to go to lunch, these people had come down to the river to relax. The asked if they could sit. We said yes, but when we came back to clean more we found the place was filled will snacks, food, and beer. Also there was a new pack of cigarettes and buds were those people were. I was really mad, angry, sad, and disappointed at those people.
They had said it was a great thing we where doing, but if they say that then why did they do that. The river was really dirty, but when we were finished it looked fabulous.
