Over Christmas Break, I went to Blue Jacket Park in Orlando, Florida to collect trash. I went all around the park with two trash bags, one for trash and another for recyclables. I stayed for about and hour and picked up almost a full trash bags worth of trash and recyclables. When the project was over, I felt very satisfied with my work and how the park looked. I helped make the park look like a cleaner place to play and relax. I always remembered playing at the park as a kid and I wanted to help the next generation of kids by keeping the park clean. I also love seeing a clean environment for the plants and animals that call the park their home. I believe that people should come together and help their community and environment. This project also made me feel happy in a way that I knew that I did something that benefited my community. I also plan on convincing more people to join me cleaning up. My goal is to do more clean ups like these around Orlando and hopefully create a healthy, fun, and safe environment for us as well as the nature around us.
