This environmental cleanup project was completed as part of the Apprentice Ecologistâ„¢ Initiative! This project was conducted to clean up the school and to gather support from fellow classmates for future environmental cleanup projects in Morocco. The following ambassadors of the Nicodemus Wilderness Project conducted this cleanup project in November 2005: Asma and Mariam [Project Leaders].

On Wednesday, November 30th, the Apprentice Ecologist Initiative was conducted in our school, the ENCG of Agadir, under the direction of the ecological club, and the ambassadors of the Nicodemus Wilderness Project.
The Ecole Nationale de Commerce et de Gestion (National School of Commerce and Management) is the biggest management school in the south of the kingdom of Morocco. It's located in Agadir, the pearl of the region of Souss. A city by the coast, Agadir is renowned for its beautiful beaches and its sunny weather during the whole year.
The ecological club in the ENCG planned a project of cleaning up the school, like every year; being motivated by the necessity of involving students in various ecological projects, especially cleaning up their direct environment. Having the Nicodemus Wilderness Project supporting our cleanup this year added a new source of motivation to our students.
We started our cleanup at 2.30 pm, and ended around 6.30 pm.
We started by getting the equipments, and distributing the lists of participating students to every leader of a group. Once every leader had their list, equipments and group of students, they headed to the place they had to clean. Some groups started working right away at 3pm, and some had to wait for the classrooms to clean to be vacated. All in all, the number of students taking part in this project neared one hundred.
