This Project is called in my country "Minga" which means people gathering to clean an specific area. Here in the beggining of 2012, in A Protected Area called Isla Santay. Santay is a wetland "humedal" inscribed in RAMSAR. The city in which Santay is located is Guayaquil, and the river is "Guayas". People from Guayaquil has never been aware of contamination, because even though they complain about it, they pollute the river, and all the trash goes direct to Santay.
